The studies with the captive birds gave us knowledge in which parrots are most intelligent. While the parrots are able to imitate the human speech, the studies with the parrot of African gray proved that some can associate words their significances and simple sentences of form. With crows and corbels (Corvidae family), of the parrots are considered most intelligent of the birds. Consider with the ratio of brain and body size of the psittacines and the corvines is really comparable with that of higher primates.

Brain Parts
An argument against the intelligent possibilities supposed of the species of bird is that the birds have a relatively small cerebral cortex, which is the part of the brain considered as the principal field of intelligence in other animals. However, it seems that the birds employ a part different from their brain, ventral the medio-rostral of neostriatum/hyperstriatum, like sits of their intelligence. Not surprisingly, research proved that these species tend to have largest hyperstriata and the lower part of avian brains are similar to ours. At the program of animal planet "majority of the extreme animals: Smartest ", the parrots were #1 ranked as the smartest animals of the world. Not only the parrots showed the intelligence by the scientific test of their language by using capacities, but some species of parrot such as Kea are also strongly skilful to use tools and to solve puzzles.
